Private Selling Officer

Private Selling Officer (PSO)

A Private Selling Officer (PSO) is selected in lieu of the county sheriff department to sell real estate property at judicial auction.  Selling real estate through a PSO allows the real estate to be listed in the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) as well as marketed through other advertising outlets such as Zillow.com, Realtor.com and LoopNet.com to achieve the best outcome for that property. The real estate is offered in an online auction format based on the guidelines set forth by the State of Ohio.

This option allows both the listing agent and a buying agent to participate in the sale of real estate property.

Full authority of the PSO can be found in Ohio Revised Code 2329.152 Authorization of Private Selling Officer
